For Guests wanting to stay at Chateau de Villars for “Bed & Breakfast”, we have bedrooms with en suite baths or showers available for a two night minimum stay in either the Chateau or the Trincou Cottage. If you wish to have dinner at the Chateau, then by prior reservation, you can enjoy an excellent four course dinner in our dining room "en famille", when the wine and chat are plentiful.

    And on evenings when you are out to dinner, there are a range of wonderful restaurants in short driving distance, at which we can provide recommendations and arrange reservations.

  We can arrange transport to local places of interest or, if you have your own transport, advise you where to go so as to fully experience the beauty of the region. You can visit such places as, St Jean de Cole, one of 'the most beautiful villages in France', Brantôme, 'the Venice of the Perigord', the Chateau de Puyguilhem, the fantastic Villars cave complex, Perigueux, the capital of the Dordogne, with its magnificent old town, or Limoges and its porcelain heritage. And, if you are touring the Dordogne or the Charente, we can introduce you to other beautiful places to stay, run by friends, to compliment your visit to the area. Be sure to ask us as you plan your holiday!

    Naturally, if you choose to spend the day at the Chateau, you can relax in the gardens, walk around the grounds and the village, take a hike directly out of the front gates into the lush countryside, laze by the pool, play a game of croquet on the lawn or choose a good book from our library. Alternatively, sit on the terrace and enjoy a well chosen bottle of wine from our wine list, selected by noted wine connoisseur and writer, Helen Savage!

   For Guests wanting to enjoy a “self catering” holiday at Chateau de Villars, there our Trincou Cottage, situated in the gardens a few metres from the Chateau, which offers two separate apartments, - both with good sized bedrooms and able to accommodate up to eight guests, and is entirely at ground floor level for easy access. Each apartment has its own ensuite bathroom and separate toilet, and each is freshly decorated in a charming country style. The Trincou Cottage has a comfortable sitting area, a well equipped kitchen with oven, stove top and dishwasher and a large outside private terrace for relaxing, overlooking the gardens and the boules court.
